For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 7 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 7 | My truck is "done" and it took just under two years. But I am not happy with the steering. I have CPP's power assist steering installed and opted to keep the original steering wheel. There is too much play and the steering box has been adjusted to the max.
I wanted to change to a 15 inch steering wheel and install a steering stabilizer kit. When I called to order, Chevy Duty says that there will be a 1 inch gap between the replacement wheel and adapter kit. They pretty much indicated I would not be happy with their product.
LMC looks like they have the same product. I would like to know what others have done that changed theirs out.
Thanks.
Kay
