Speaking from the towing/transport industry point of view, As long as they have insurance and proper equipment, $1.25 per loaded mile is a DARN good rate, especially on a 1 ton. Just be sure they know what they're hauling, and that they can/will haul it.

We recently dealt with a simple problem of a 4 wheeler/quad in the bed of a pickup that the owner needed transported. NONE of the haulers would do it with the quad in the truck, it would have to go seperate. Some require the vehicle to run and drive, be complete, etc.

Be careful who you hire, and ask alot of questions if you dont know the haulers. Would really be a bad deal if they got there and couldnt haul it for 1 reason or another.

be safe
