I agree with 6overtexas. 40 years ago all the after marked add-on A/C units used York (fOORD) compressors. Today they mostly use Sanden (Sankyo-same thing), which was originally designed by a guy from TexAs. Belts always flop like crazy with the 2 cyl York. Thousands of VW Jettas in the wrecking yards use the 505 or 508 Sanden. 5 cyl.-5 cu. in. would be better than 8cu. in. unless you upgrade to a much bigger, newer, more efficient condenser. With 134A, bigger is not better for compressors.
