Kelsey, Army vet here. Seeing "Newbie" reminds me of the first time I heard that word. I just pulled up to my barracks in Aderdeen, Maryland, got out of my car and everyone in the 3 story barracks was at their windows shouting "Newbie, Newbie, Newbie". I'll never forget that. If I wouldn't have been AWOL I would have got back in the car and left. It did work out OK. I was in for 3 years, got out in 78. Welcome.
