I'm a shade tree mechanic who hadn't put a wrench to anything older than a '67 Impala I had in high school before I got my first stovebolt, a 1946 2 ton.
With the help of the experienced folks here, along with the many helpful links to vendors and free data resources, I managed to get my '46 running, driving, and stopping in no time.. and thats after it sat for close to 30 years in a cow pasture!
More recently, I bagged a 50 1/2 ton and combined with the previous information aquired from these pages, along with a few other questions, I had it running in less than a week.
The folks here are top notch, and can answer just about any question you throw at them (or know where to find it)
