those little pins can be a pain to get in far enuff to get the lever free - requires kinda levering up the levers sheet metal while pushing in one pin until you can wiggle it enuff to get it wedged under a bit, then repeat on the 2nd - if that's clear!
the upper elbow will unscrew after you've got the lever off - keep at it, but keep track of the parts!! there's a little springy thingy w/ the pins on the ends, and a wire spring that'll fly across the room w/ very little reason!
