Thanks for the feedback guys. When they dropped the original axle, it moves the king pins inward about an inch on each side due to the stretch. I'll take a micrometer and see what the diameter is and check the threads per inch. Hopefully it's not an oddball size. I've read a few other posts where another member shortened his original tierod, so I'm hoping the thread is somewhat common. I've already ordered the newer style tierod ends from Chevyduty, so I'd like to use the existing tierod.
