| | | | Joined: May 2004 Posts: 204 Member | | Member Joined: May 2004 Posts: 204 | Just as I thought, the old '57 Chevy 6500 has a nice complete original 261 in it and I verified the casting numbers on the block and head. It's a genuine 261 and it's not stuck either. I checked the oil and it looks excellent and there's still antifreeze in the rad. No cracks on block as well. The owner's brother was there and said they would be glad to get rid of it. I just have to wait until tonight to call him about the price.
