O.k., we will start with the one end.Remove the grease fitting from the u-joint.Put the cap ends that are not installed in the driveline on the open jaws of a large vice.Two large blocks of wood can work.Take a large hammer and pound (ONLY) on the area between the end of the drive-shaft tube and close to the eye where the u-joint cap is in the driveline.Be careful to not contact the tube area or the eye area arount the cap of the u-joint.Once the cap starts to lift out, be careful that it does not pop out toward you.It may only come part way out.Turn the driveline 180 degrees and do the same to the cap on the other side of the u-joint you are working on.Putting things together is a little more touchy as you do not want to jar-loose the needle bearings in the caps when you are putting them in.Make sure you clean the rust and dirt of the grooves that the clips go in.Any questions, feel free to email me.I can take some pictures to show you where and exactly what I am referring to.
