It's funny you ask, because just today I ran the numbers on what I thought was my '46 half ton pickup. I just picked up the mechanical and model identification data and it turns out it (well the cab for sure) is a '45 2 ton. Everything else is half ton though, ie shortbox, frame, front sheetmetal. So yes, a 2 ton cab is the same.
