I saw just what you are looking for at Oregon Plating a month or so ago. They were being done for Vern Toedtli - he sells grills, emblems and moldings for '37-'54 GM cars and trucks.
I have to tell you - they were way nicer than anything I had ever seen, he takes a lot of time and does the picking and polishing himself and relies on the chrome shop for copper, nickle and final chrome only.
