I don't want those extra holes either. When I mount mine I'm gonna try them without the clips...(others have said they will be fine)...but, I think I will find the correct thickness of weatherstripping (adhesive on one side), and stick that to the inside back of the trim. Should give it a little cushion if it does want to flap a little. We will see...
