I dumped my bench seat in favor of a set of "racing" buckets out of a mid eighties dodge daytona. Mounted them to the floor with a couple peices of 1/4 X 3 mild steel to get correct height and placement. They are very comfortable. MUCH nicer than the old busted up bench seat I had. Plus I just noticed that JC Whitney has a console that is an almost perfect fit. Now this is in my 1970 C/10, but my dad once put a set of buckets out of a 1965 Impala in a 52 AD, and that was a sweet fit. The old Impala was so big that the buckets only had a small gap between them. you could ride 3 up front and never notice the gap.
