Lots of work on Brad's part ... pure enjoyment (and references) for you!
| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2000 Posts: 424 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2000 Posts: 424 | A little history... John and Peg started the Stovebolt Page back in '95 or so when they were in Hawaii and their '39 was still back in Indy. John originally wanted to have a small site for '39 pickup owners and to double the size of the site (!) also included '40 trucks since they are very similar to '39's. Having a site that only included (2) years of trucks greatly limited it's users, so he then expanded it to cover other years of GM trucks. It really started to grow then (late '90's) and about that time John and Peg moved to Kentucky to work with horses. After a few years there, they moved to Maryland. In the past 9 years or so the Stovebolt has been through at least 3 different formats of boards and a few different servers. Throw in a couple bad storms with lightening hitting Peg's computers and you can see the ol' Stovebolt has been through alot, and still keeps on truckin'. Hopefully the latest rule changes will bring it back to it's former position as "THE" place to go on the net for old GM truck info. | | |
