You don't have to send a 9 x 12 through the mail. An original photograph can be scanned at whatever resolution we need to make it into a 9 x 12 (or even bigger
) -- that was part of the need for the original photograph. Plus the fact, then, that we knew YOU took the picture and just didn't scan something from a magazine or ... hmmmm ?? ... another calendar!
However, the images that do come in via email, probably won't be able to be printed in the calendar because we can't validiate them as not being copied. Also, only a few have the resolution (300) and size 9 x 12, that we need for the bleed on the calendar page.
So, if you've got some cool photos that would work in the It Ran 2004, go ahead and send them in. Be sure to include the other info from the rules page (name, etc.) so we'll have that.
I'll have to change the write-up in the rules page so this is clearer.
