I'll bet that all straight sixes have the same firing order to acheive the best balance. When piston #1 is coming up on a compression stroke, #6 is coming up on an exhaust stroke (and vice versa). The same holds true for #2/#5 and #3/#4 combinations.

This all made sense once my old 235 was out of the truck and the head was off.
