If its like the filter units I've seen hanging off the 235 manifold, the cartridge is replacable. The filter element should be "impaled" on a center tube in the housing. Simply pull that fold-down handle and the whole thing will come out. I think the correct Wix part number is 15005 or 5005 or 505 something close to that.
