Thanks guys for the feedback. I was so excited to get it out and run it today.

46 In Progress, I've been following your project as well. You've done alot of nice work. You sure made that engine look pretty.

Stuart 989, I bought the truck after it had undergone an amateur resto, and had been sitting in the PO's barn for about 8.5 yrs. The truck ran and drove, but after about 300 miles, the block started seeping coolant pretty badly.

So, I found a 39 Coupe engine and went to work. There are just enough differences between a 39 and a 46 block to create some havoc. Then the fact, the car was a 3-spd, the truck a 4 spd. and they had completely different flywheels, and exhaust manifolds etc, I ran into several snags.

Learned some great lessons, (like the oil line that goes through the block, doesn't stop at the compression fitting), I gained some good experience, (a 39 flywheel will eventually bolt up correctly, but you have to curse and swear to get it there), and best of all, I saved about $2,000 in labor.

Long story short, I've completely gone through all of the mechanicals myself, done some minor cosmetic work, and added a few personal touches and new pieces, as I've found them.
