The 235 and 3100 model designation are both Chevy. If its a GMC motor it will have a serial number behind the distributor near the starter. The first three characters will be the engine size. My '55 1st GMC has a 248 from the factory, but had a GMC 270 when I bought it. 1955 1st GMC Suburban \| 1954 GMC 250 trailer puller project \| 1954 GMC 250 Hydra-Matic \| 1954 Chevy 3100 . 1947 Chevy COE \| and more... It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble...
