It started life as a fuel tanker at an airport in the south. I have heard that there were many like it. The orange color is because it was owned by Gulf Oil. I would love to find a picture of one in the gulf oil livery, performing its original job, or even sitting on a flight line ready to go. I know it's a long shot, but what the heck.
