Gord - it might help in areas where part of the problem is 'drumming' - imperceptible vibrations that create sound [that's what the stuff is actually made for] not sure how much it would do for 'road noise', like from the tires and engine turning, and air rushing under the truck, etc, which is a large part of the noise we all want to eliminate - would be good on the roof of a panel truck I think, and might make the doors sound more 'solid' when you slam'em!! which is to say it's a vibration dampner more than sound insulation
