Marshall Dillon Junior Member M Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 11 Snellville GA	It was for stability of the cargo but the cargo they were thinking about was the farm to market cargo specifically "Livestock". If you've ever taken a 1400 lb. steer to market and had to stop fairly quick you'd find out real quick has fast 1400 lbs. will slide forward on steel. Farmers needed that wood to keep the steers from coming thru the back window. Rich
