My name is Ben and I have a 1965 long bed fleets side with the original 292. Its been months since I have posted here on stovebolt, but I do come back once in a while to see what is happening to the site. Sure has changed a lot
. But I guess change is good. I bought my truck when I was 16 (Im now 19) for about $125 dollars at the local car auction. So I saved this one from the crusher, luckily I was able to drive it home that night. My daily driver as of 2 months ago is 1992 Chevrolet caprice lowrider, but the truck is sitting under a carport ready for nice Vegas winter. Im going to be driving the truck instead of the Big Body caprice. Hopefully I will fix the carb and replace the manifold soon enough. I also want to swap out the SM465 tranny for a Camaro T5 with a S-10 bell housing to center the shifter. Hoping to do this soon to get a chance to travel to the out of state shows to see my fellow stovebolters.
