I appreciate your help to this carb-rebuildin' fool, who in retrospect shouldn't have been doing it in the middle of the night...
my garage floor is pretty dirty, but I might have to try the vac/nylon trick... or order another kit and ride my bike for the weekend--heck, I owe a debt to the environment anyway...
Also I might ask a local carb shop if they have a spring I can buy for a buck or twenty.
