No problem at all with Jim Carter's. I realize that they will refund the cost of the mats, as they have been fantastic during this whole restoration. I'm just wondering "what's up wid dat?"
Seems mighty strange to me that someone would mold these mats and then have a giant punch-out in way of the shifter and hand brake.
Right now I'm having a leather boot made for both cut-outs and will leave the rubber boots in place for sealing purposes. It's a real pain to fit the mat as the steering wheel, pedal pads, brake release lever, etc. all have to be removed to install the mat. No problem going to this effort if the mat didn't have the giant cut-outs.
