Mine's identicel to the one you have, Bruce. I never got any fasteners, because I still had a few of the originals. I don't think that it'll flatten out, be better off going ahead and attach it. I'd suggest the 1/4 20 machine screws over the original fasteners, if you dont mind a non original look. I used stainless button heads for a nicer look from the under hood side of the firewall.
