I gave the whole floor, including the kick panels a good dose of the nasty stuff. I used fabric covered masonite panels over the kicks. I applied it generously at the body seams. There is no odor when it cures and you wouldn't know it was even applied. I hit repaired areas with a couple coats and the repairs disappear.
The aluminum covered jute came from a friends upholstery shop (scraps)...had to tape some pieces together for the main body...made cut-outs for the transmission, master cylinder door and battery cover. Taped the edges and it makes it easy to get the covers off. I used the aluminized bubble stuff on the rear of the cab and on the roof over the peel stuff.
I wouldn't use undercoating inside....even the rubber stuff has a petroleum base and is going to emit fumes. Hope this helps!
