| | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 37 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 37 | If it's glued on now...maybe heat it up with a blow dryer. That may loosen up old glue. Maybe grip it with some vice grips...tap upwards under the vise-grips with rubber mallet forcing it up off the metal rod. I have newer tranny so my shifter knob is the thread (screw) on type.
