I did not rebuild it, though I probably should have. I instead just adjusted & tightened it up. With the pitman arm disconnected I was able to turn the steering wheel with no resistance showing on my hand held fishing scale. It took me a couple attempt to get to the 1 1/2 - 2 # range.
