If you are referring to the brownish sheet that goes from the top of the speaker plate towards the rear of the radio (at a 45 degree downwards angle), that is a cardboard cover that is available from
Chevs of the 40s That is a replacement speaker but it is pretty much the same size as an original speaker (maybe the magnet at the rear is a larger). I will check out an original speaker tomorrow.
