Tim, It's gonna kill you if you find out someone stumbled on a Hydra Matic cab and started welding up the holes after you have been searching for so long to find one isn't it? On the trans cover Tim mentioned, does the front of it seem to "climb the firewall"? or does the front of it end where the floor pans meet the point where firewall starts up? The HydraMatic starter switch would have been about a half inch hole with a skeleto key looking notch at the top and as you mentioned, directly above the headlight switch.
