The Pulsar Gray that we used on the interior of my 1954 Suburban was flattened to reduce the glare (we did the same with black interior parts). The Dupont 1954 Chevrolet Color Bulletin No.26 suggests using "Flattening Compund" where "subdued lustre is required" (referring to standard and deluxe interior paints).

We experimented with PPG flattening agent with the PPG (DCC) interior paints. We matched the luster to that of some protected interiors parts (and to match some NOS interior parts, such as a clock housing and part of the steering mast).

I'd say we ended up with a "Satin" to "Semi-Gloss" level of luster.
