For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 175 Member | | Member Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 175 | I'm bringing this back up to the top because I'm in the process of doing this project on my 49. The window channel had a corrugated metal track with about 6 spring clips. It went all the way around the window opening and down into the body of the door. Are these necessary with the replacement window channels? The cat whisker was missing on my truck but there are some staple holes in the interior garnish moulding and the assembly manual seems to show the cat whisker stapled to this surround moulding. How do you staple this and don't the staples scratch the glass. Would appreciate any input from someone who has done this. Thanks | | |
