I'm having a helluva time with the installation of my windshield. It differs from others I have installed in that the sides and top of the rubber seal (from Steele) is extra wide, presumably the headliner fits underneath this. Because this lip is so wide, it makes it very difficult to use the cord method where a small diameter cord is inserted in the pinchweld groove and then the cord is pulled, allowing the lip to roll over the pinchweld. I rolled this extra wide lip over the side and top pinchwelds but now I can't seem to get the bottom of the windshield close enough to the pinchweld to get the lip to roll over the pinchweld. The shop manual doesn't do a very good job of installation with this kind of seal.
