Got a new speedometer needle replacement from Chevy Duty to replace one on 51 speedo unit. The spindle that holds the needle looks fragile. Is there an easy way of doing this without messing up the mechanism? Would like to switch the faceplate from one unit to another, but the needle and hub are in the way. Any ideas?
