Update: After filing the threads off the pan side as the directions say the 1/2 Car Quest rubber plug PN 65200 worked like a charm. Highly recommend. PS suggestion: after you finish filing there is bound to be some shavings in the pan. Dump a quart of oil thru the engine and let it drain good. This will give you some peace of mind and may pick up a few shavings along the way.
