So my somewhat local salvage truck parts guy had what I needed and even went threw it and put new bearings/seals and a cable operated plate so it's a perfect setup. They even gave me the spacers I need and had a pto going on a transmission in the shop they showed me exactly how to install it with the right amount of space by turning the gears with my finger threw the plate hole and check the backlash. Seemed to me it was about a business card and a half of play before all bolts tightened so it's not a tight fit but not loose either so the gears wear normally and not excessively. But he said it would tighten up as all 8 bolts are put in and tightened. Also for the backlash test I am to only use two bolts across from eachother. They never let me down, everytime I've gone to them. It was a bit pricier then I expected but I did pretty much "steal" the engine and trans from scrapyard so that's why it feels that way. But the pto is in rebuilt condition so shouldn't have any issues with that for a good long while. Now to get the old engine pulled and start the swap. I'll probably make a new thread for that project as I get along.....
