Someone just gave me a 235 crankshaft because the thrust face was badly worn- - - - -I suppose his machinist didn't know how to weld! I've got a roll of nickel alloy wire for my MIG welder so building up that thrust shoulder shouldn't be a problem at all. I've also got a Eutectic spray weld setup that can be used to rehab worn rod and main bearing journals, but I'm going to have to do quite a bit of practicing with that before I try to build up a crankshaft.
