That transmission torque ball mount has always puzzled me. The way that it is mounted to the torque ball is minimal at best to provide for any real support.
I wonder if it was added as a method to reduce harmonic vibration which may have popped up after production had started.
They were not used on '54-'55.1 trucks.
Does anyone know if that mount was used on the Art Deco trucks?
