I was assuming the slinger went on AFTER the gear and cupped towards the front of the engine. It wont fit that way! I have a Thickstun timing cover and the slinger is hitting the cover on the inside. SO HOW DOES IT GO? It can't fit cupped towards the gear. I have a General Motors GMC truck manual, BUT it says nothing about the slinger. Its possible that it might not be a part of this engine, as it was a basket job. Could the slinger be from something else????
