Machine shop says maybe they'll be done assembling the short block next week. Then I have to bolt the rest of the engine together and install it. My target is the big show the first Sunday in August, if not before.
On a side note, I took a closer look at the engine bay on the GMC panel. Didn't recognize the carburetor - not a Rochester or a Carter that I've seen. @carbking might know.
