Gdads51, finally Mother.Trucker (a Bolter) had a 47’ center shackle assembly which I purchased from him. I’ve just disassembled the center shackle (as we would expect in sad shape) and after banging and applying heat to the bushings it been cleaned up and now I’ll order the bushings which you so diligently deciphered to be the same as the leaf spring shackles. Attached is photo of the cleaned up part. However the studs / bolts that hold these parts together are shot and I’ll have to cut them off and install new Grade 8 bolts (looks like I’ll have to weld the bolt heads to keep them from spinning.) Once the assembly is rebuilt then I’ll remove the assembly that’s on the truck one, install this one and rebuild the one removed from the truck. By the way the horse shoe’s support casting number is the one which appears in the ref parts manual. Can’t say how much I appreciate all your research.
