| | | Joined: Nov 2014 Posts: 164 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2014 Posts: 164 | I had my 6 volt starter rebuilt about a month ago and he converted it to 12volts. Today I was driving down the road and literally heard a roaring noise from under the hood. I pulled over and turned off the truck and discovered that it was the starter and it didn't stop roaring until I disconnected the battery. After I reconnected the battery it wouldn't start or make the noise. What the heck happened?
