Ray: 100% of early Chevy pickups came with one light assembly at the left rear. Dealer installed option for a right side tail light.
If the right tail light is installed on yours, remove the brake wire from its source (likely the left side brake light wire) and connect it to the wire on the turn signal switch marked right rear turn signal and brake.
From the factory there will be one wire that runs from the brake light switch to the left rear tail light. Remove that wire from the brake light switch and connect it to the wire on the turn signal switch marked left rear turn signal and brake. Then run a new wire from the empty connector on the brake light switch to the wire on the turn signal switch marked brake light.
