Though I have researched the frame / body serial number I still don't understand the mfg sequence number per se. Our 1948 ½ ton S/N is:
3 FP J 15328 ( 3 is St. Louis; F is the year 1948; P is the wheelbase 116"; and J is the mfg Month October.) I understand that all mfg locations started the serial numbers with 1001 so I'm not sure if this truck is the 5328 unit or 15328 unit?
