Last week I posted that after I got my 53 3100 out of storage it wouldn't start & the horn wouldn't work. I determined that the starter was shot but the horn had me stumped. Both horns worked when I powered them directly & the relay tested fine. I assumed it was wiring in the steering column & deferred further work while my truck was up on jack stands.

Today I installed the rebuilt starter. The truck started right up and the horns worked! Please help me understand that. Thanks
