Indiana allows an unrestored YOM plate on older vehicles. In 1953 Indiana did not make a new plate due to metal shortages. They used a 51 plate with a topper. It took a long time to find a nice plate and even longer to find the topper. They give you a modern plate for your stickers and you have to carry it with you but not displayed.
