My name is Joe. I just joined the site and wanted to say hello. I am very new to the hobby of car restoration. I did work in a garage for a short time but that was over 30 years ago. Some of my questions will likely show my inexperience. My project is a 1949 Chevy 3100 P/U. It was a basket case when it arrived, by roll back, to my home in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. I stripped it down to bare frame and currently its setting on a rear axle from a 2008 Chevy Colorado and the front Axle is stock. However, its completely rebuilt and been modified to disc breaks. The engine is going to be a 1958 235 and its at the machine shop getting rebuilt. The transmission is a pre 1988 Chevy s10 T5 that has been rebuilt. I have already viewed many of the available videos on marrying my engine and transmission. I will more than likely have questions.
