Agreed! Can we ask you what you did to “hopefully” fix the error?
I (we) can’t thank you enough for what you do for this forum!
OK. I'll admit it. I've been working with Grok to fix some longstanding issues in the software. The last fix we applied caused another issue to rear it's ugly head. Since I had just made a change to the code, I assumed that the change caused the problem and backed it out. (Restored the original code.) But the problem didn't go away. So, I asked Grok what to do, and he found yet another piece of bad code and fixed that. That seems to have resolved it.
Going forward, I'm going to have to set up a test instance of the forum so that I can sort out these problems without blowing up the live forum.
Here's what we've fixed so far:
1) Dramatically increased the responsiveness of the software
2) Fixed the problem with the software sending multiple birthday emails
The problem with random errors when you post is the next one that I'll tackle.
And that should now be fixed. (Fingers crossed.)
