When I installed my wipers I found that the sweep was only about 45 degrees so I needed to put the parked position up significantly from what you have in your pictures. I can answer that, something is not right with your current setup. My wipers on my ‘52, park at the cowl and sweep across most of the windshield, probably close to 120°.
